Some weddings carry an unmistakable sense of elegance from the moment the day begins. Hannah + Alex’s wedding day was definitely one of them. With a breathtaking venue and lovely little details woven throughout the day, their wedding felt timeless, romantic, and effortlessly luxurious. It was a beautiful beginning to the next chapter on Hannah + Alex’s life together.

A Wedding Weekend at Princeton University
To kick off their wedding, Hannah + Alex invited their closest family and friends to a celebration that went beyond just their wedding alone. Instead, the festivities started the day before for a full weekend of fun and exciting events in honor of this new chapter in the happy couple’s lives.
The day before their wedding, Hannah + Alex started the day with a quiet moment set aside for just the two of them. They headed to the Princeton University Chapel where they planned to have their ceremony the next day. But for now, it was just the two of them. We were able to capture some stunning photos of the lovebirds inside the empty chapel before they took a moment to sign their marriage license. It was a simple but meaningful moment that made everything coming up ahead feel so much more real.
Later that evening, the celebrations really began as guests gathered for a welcome party at the Palmer House on the Princeton campus. The Princeton catering team whipped up delicious appetizers and small plates for guests to enjoy in between laughter and conversations.
Meanwhile, Hannah + Alex made their way around the room thanking everyone for joining them and simply reveling in the wonderful feeling of being surrounded by all of the people they love the most. A few members of the wedding party – including some of Hannah’s bridesmaids and a couple of Alex’s groomsmen – shared short toasts to celebrate the couple and their journey ahead, making the evening even more memorable.

A Luxurious Wedding Morning at TPC Jasna Polana
On the morning of the wedding, Hannah and her bridesmaids gathered in the Prince Albert Suite of TPC Jasna Polana. Once the private quarters of the venue’s original owners, the Prince Albert Suite had plenty of space for Hannah and her ladies to get ready for the day in luxury. Venue staff served champagne that they sipped as they got their hair and makeup done. At one point, all fourteen members of the bridal party piled into the suite’s massive marble Jacuzzi for a fun photo together. As the final touches were made, Hannah’s mom helped her into her gown and put on her earrings in a touching mother-daughter moment.
Meanwhile, in the Mrs. Johnson suite of TPC Jasna Polana, Alex and his groomsmen were also getting ready. They spent the morning hanging out and keeping things relaxed and easygoing. The guys lounged on cozy chairs and enjoyed a table of snacks provided by the staff as they adjusted bowties and donned their suit jackets before the day officially began.
Once everyone was ready, Hannah + Alex took a solitary moment just for themselves for a private first look in the garden. Alex waited by the ornate gazebo as Hannah approached and tapped his shoulder. A smile immediately lit Alex’s face as he saw Hannah for the first time that day. After their first look, they took a few quiet minutes to read special notes they had written for each other with all of their thoughts and wishes for their wedding day and their life ahead. It was a peaceful, romantic moment before the excitement of the ceremony ahead.

A Timeless Ceremony at Princeton University Chapel
After the first look, the entire wedding party gathered in the main entrance of TPC Jasna Polana for group portraits before heading to the Princeton University Chapel. As Princeton alumni, the university was already a huge part of Hannah + Alex’s lives. Now, to be back on campus and ready to embark on their next big adventure together was a dream come true.
When guests arrived, they were greeted by soaring stone architecture and intricate stained-glass windows. As they walked into the chapel to find a seat, they passed a memory table filled with photos of Hannah + Alex’s parents and grandparents at their own wedding years and years ago. Finally, when everyone was settled in, music filled the soaring stone architecture and the ceremony began.
Hannah + Alex’s ceremony was filled with meaningful moments. Alex’s high school rowing coach officiated the ceremony and friends from their college days sang a beautiful acapella. Hannah’s mom’s long-time best friend, Anne, crafted their wedding bands and even acted as ring bearer for the ceremony. Meanwhile, the ceremony itself was simple and beautiful, focused on Hannah + Alex’s endless love and exciting future together. After exchanging vows, the newlyweds walked back down the aisle amid cheers and a few happy tears before making their way outside for a joyful bubble exit on the chapel steps.

An Elegant Reception in the Travertine Room at TPC Jasna Polana
While Hannah + Alex finished family portraits at Princeton University Chapel, guests were shuttled back to TPC Jasna Polana for cocktail hour. When the newlyweds arrived, a few more portraits were taken on the lavish entryway staircase before everyone made their way into the Travertine Room for the reception. Inside, long tables dressed in crisp ivory linens filled the space. Ruby and deep green floral arrangements paired with tall green tapers created a rich, elegant color palette. Pears, figs, apples, and pomegranates added extra color and décor to the tables and were even incorporated into the design of the wedding cake.
Once guests were seated, Hannah + Alex made their grand entrance and stepped straight into a beautifully choreographed first dance. As dinner was served, heartfelt toasts from Hannah’s parents and members of the wedding party had everyone smiling and raising their glasses to celebrate the newlyweds. Parent dances followed, along with the cake cutting, before the dance floor officially opened. Live music quickly turned the evening into a full celebration, with musicians stepping onto the dance floor to play among the guests. At one point, Hannah + Alex were even lifted into the air on the shoulders of a few groomsmen, laughing and dancing above the crowd before jumping on stage to sing along with the band. It was the perfect high-energy ending to such a joyful wedding celebration.
